SUN, SURF AND SANGRIA – SAVE 20% on your 2019 Summer Surf Trip
After a busy summer season, a surf trip was definitely in order! Not wanting to go far but still wanting to soak up the last of the summer sun, the South West of France was the ideal place! Cheap flights from most major city airports, efficient and easy transfers to the camp and plenty of sun, surf and sangria!
Having spent all summer selling awesome and exciting surf trips to other people I was itching to get a weeks worth of surfing in for myself. After checking into our tent, we opted for the deluxe camp so we would have a few more comforts such as raised beds and electricity, we headed over to the main camp to grab some wetsuits and boards and headed down to the beach. The beach is a convenient 15-minute stroll through beautiful French pine forest and opens up to miles awesome surf and waves.
We had a total of 6 surf lessons each and loved every minute of it! The instructors are extremely helpful and friendly, they are happy to give you tips and advice both during your lesson but also in the camp. After the surf lesson, our day pretty much consisted of surf, chill, eat, surf, eat again! The deluxe camp has an awesome yoga deck that is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a fun day in the water.
One of the major benefits of the deluxe camp packages is the unlimited yoga sessions available to guests, offering both am and pm yoga sessions. These are the perfect way to warm yourself up and strengthen your body before a surf lesson, but then also to stretch and relax before tucking into a freshly prepared, hearty dinner.
One of the highlights of my week was the fab trip to San Sebastian, less than 2 hours from the camp, San Seb is a beautiful, old historic town in the North of Spain. Here you will find world class tapas, Sangria on tap (literally!) and gorgeous views over the ocean. After wandering around the streets tasting some of the best tapas I have ever had, we all met up to climb Monte Urgull where we opened some beers and watched the sunset! This trip is a must when visiting Moliets surf camp.
The town of Moliets, though not huge, does have a handful of great bars, restaurants, cafes and a couple of supermarkets to make your stay is as easy and comfortable as possible. Every night there is awesome entertainment organised by the camp, from a table tennis tournament to a cheese and wine evening and then on the last night a big fancy dress party, there is something for everyone.
I met a bunch of awesome people during my week and honestly cannot recommend this surf camp enough. With such a fun and relaxing atmosphere, 3 meals a day, awesome surf and plenty of fun nights this surf camp offer a bit of everything!!
