Annie and John Surf Newquay

Good friends of Chris and Charlotte at Errant, Annie and Jon came down and hit the surf in Newquay last week.

Amazing what can be pulled together in one morning.

Sat at the Errant office last week rumour’s started flying around about a thumping North Sea swell due to hit the next day along the entire length of the North East of England.

October NARS Beach Lifeguard Course

On the 18th of October 2010, Errant Surf Travel & Instruction will be running another NARS Beach Lifeguard course in Newquay, Cornwall.

The five day course starts on the Monday at 10am, with practical and water based training all week. The exam is on the Saturday. Once passed this qualification is perfect for anyone looking to become a surf coach, or work on the beach as a beach lifeguard.

The course costs £269 (5% discount if you quote a1surf.com) and includes membership to the SLSGB.

Surfers swap wetsuits for tuxedos

The British surfing community was out in force on Friday the 10th of September for the inaugural Ground Swell (www.groundswellcic.com) Charity Ball, at the Atlantic Hotel Newquay.

The Ground Swell community interest company (cic) arranged a glamorous sit down black tie event to promote and support their mission of forwarding British surfing from a young age. “Have Faith” – Errant Exploration Team

Over the last few weeks, Errant and Quiver surfboards have been working under cover to build a fine exploration surf team.

The exploration team consisting of Mark Harris, Tom Butler, Josh Hughes and Mitch Corbett. Will head out this winter in search of new waves in some of Europe’s harshest elements.

Errant Rider Wins In Europe

Timson takes out VQS European event in France

Errant and Volcom team rider Harry Timson from Newquay surfed well throughout the event in Crozon in France to find himself in the final of the VQS event against fellow team mate Charly Quivront and 2 locals, Adrien Boadec and Tim Faujour.

However it was Harry’s impressive shredding in the beach break waves that scored with top place against his fellow European peers. A great result for 14 year Timson.
