“I have stayed at this lodge a couple of times and despite its relative proximity to the UK  it always feels like an adventure. It has been built by a French couple who have a great affinity to the sea which transfers to everyone who comes. They are also a lot of fun and great surf teachers.  It is rustic in style built in a 300 year old farmhouse but has some beautiful detail in the newly designed decor and is surrounded by fields, lakes and pine woods.

It always seem to be full of interesting people and the weekly barbeques are fun. I went alone and there are always people to surf and hook up with.

It is near some great breaks and a beach which is wild and really picturesque with the Pyrenees in the distance.
