October Half Term Surfing in Spain….why not!

Oakley XPY Pro Junior Goes Off!

This weekend, the Oakley XPY Pro Junior exploded onto North Fistral beach with competitors and spectators alike greeted with sunshine and head high fun waves!

All surfers & spectators stunned by the debut of the new digital clock system, an automatic countdown timer for surfers in their heats. Also, on the horizon, a large Oakley Buoy, to mark out the contest area & to the give the event an ASP world tour feel!

BSA Congratulates British Airways Re-Think

It’s almost two years since British Airways (BA) announced a ban on surfboards on all its flights (6th Nov 2007) causing uproar in the surf world and resulting in thousands of surfers from across the globe refusing to fly with the company.

However last week, the airline ushered in a partial lift on the ban, posting a statement on its website permitting boards up to a certain length (approx 6ft 3) on its flights from 09 October 2009.

Feedback from JLC Sky One show

We couldn’t hesitate to give Feedback on the JLC Sky one show as it was brilliant!! Earlier this year Chris Thomson and Pete Hughes set up a not-for-profit organisation called ‘Ground Swell‘, with the aim of helping young surfers in Britain.

Surf Coach Required in Lanzarote

We are currently looking for a surf coach to come join us on the sunny island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.

A good level of surfing ability is required and a minimum of a BSA Level 2 or ISA qualification being held and with all Lifeguard qualifications in date. Errant On Channel Five

In the first episode of “Brighton Beach Patrol”, Brighton’s summer season kicks off with its annual ‘Paddle round the Pier’ festival sponsored by Errant Surf Holidays  and opened by local superstar Fat Boy Slim. Where to go surfing in September and October?

September and October are great months for surfing. It is prime surf season for mainland Europe, with the best locations in Northern Spain, South West France, West Portugal and South Portugal. As we head into Autumn it is also a good couple of months for Morocco in Africa, or the Canary Islands as the slightly bigger swells of the North Atlantic in September and October start to fan down this far.
